MEET THERESE BLOK

BIOGRAFIE

Therèse Blok, visual artist and portraitist. For over three decades, I have created intuitive, multilayered works where emotion, sensuality, and refined craftsmanship merge. My paintings combine oil, acrylic, textiles, beads, feathers, and sculptural elements into sophisticated compositions that bring quiet depth and understated luxury to private collections and curated interiors.

At the heart of my work lies the embodied experience of womanhood, its strength, vulnerability, and subtle allure. Each piece carries an intimate presence, inviting the viewer to come closer, to sense the texture of silence, to feel what is suggested rather than shown.

Every artwork emerges organically. Resonant images, tactile materials, and gestures find their place with poetic precision on premium linen, finished with a minimalist aluminium frame that enhances the purity and contemporary elegance of the piece.

As my practice expands internationally, my work continues to evolve into a distinct universe of stillness, sensuality, and refined emotional resonance.

For acquisitions, commissions, or private viewings, I welcome direct contact with collectors and art professionals drawn to work with lasting depth, sophistication, and a quiet, magnetic power.

We acquired this painting by Therèse on impulse, and it turned out to be a perfect match for our art wall. The contemporary portrait of a young woman, meeting your gaze with quiet intensity, immediately draws the eye through its luminous colors. We still enjoy it every day and unmistakably recognize the signature Blok style. Her work has since found a lasting place in our home, and our collection has grown to include several of her pieces.
